CSB - In-person and remote interpretation service in LIS

The in-person interpretation service and the remote video interpretation service in Italian Sign Language (LIS), available through our CSB Communicare Senza Barriere platform, aim to promote the elimination of communication barriers and are aimed at all deaf residents . Lombardy, who can use it for free.

The aim is to provide each user who registers on the platform with the possibility of having full and concrete access to communication in all contexts of daily life, in contact with public institutions and beyond (such as schools, municipalities, pharmacies, libraries, information desks, etc.) excluding the health-oriented area and social health services (medical consultations, CUP appointments, daycare centers, nursing homes, etc.), whose interventions are already regulated by the Lombardy Region in accordance with other channels.

Thanks to this service, each deaf person will be encouraged and will have the possibility of communicating in their mother tongue through the availability of an interpreter in person or remotely.
