Description of JOSEMIGUELERICO The Comparsa de Gigantes y Cabezudos de Pamplona has become, over the years, one of the most representative symbols of the fiestas of San Fermín. What is the comparsa of Giants and Bigheads? The giants are eight huge characters (four pairs of king and queen), four meters high, representing "the four parts of the world": Europe, Africa, Asia and America. (Apparently, when they were created they did not know the existence of Oceania). The current ones are not very old (1860), but they continue a much earlier tradition.
